San-Fa-Tang サンファタン

Do you know this tea??

It's Korean "Special" tea.
When I went to Korea with my friends,
we went to "Yong Cafe" where is in MyonDong.
It's lovely littele cafe and I though it's sweet drink.
Cuz in Japan, we have same looking sweet drink it calls "Oshiruko". I definetly though it's a same one!!!
However, that was totaly different drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When a witress brought our table to San-Fa-Tang, we just knew "That is San-Fa-Tang" even we'd never had it. (Other of my friends ordered diffrent drink such as Coffe or juice)
It smelled like....... "Can't Explain"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually I couldn't even sip it first.
But after 10 minutes, I determine to drink it.
I needed some courage!!!!!!!! Really!!!!!!!!
I'm not gonna tell you what this taste like, so just try it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure your friends will laught if you ordred "San-Fa-Tang"!!!!!!!

Japanese Style BBQ!! "YAKINIKU"

Etsu & I(Kayo) went to "YAKINIKU" shop.
Yakiniku is Japanese Style BBQ!!
Everytime we go there, we have to cook by ourselves.
But it is FUN!!!!!







Anyway we ordered beef(left pic), chicken(pic downward), Spicy cucumber(top left)and green leaf which call "Chi-sha-ba".









This call "Seseli" →
Do you know which part is "Seseli"?





Answer is...................."Chicken neck"!
It's soooooooo delicious!!!!!!




We call it "Ton-chan" which is pat of internal organ. It's very chewy and spicy.
Looks not beautiful, but taste pretty good!








So now, I will show you how to cook and eat YAKINIKU.

First 1:




This is "Shi-chi-lin" which is old style grill.
Put charcoal under the grid and burn them.
This is traditional way to cook.
(Some shops use electronic grill)


Step 2:



When grid gets really hot, put meat on the grid.
But don't put too many meat!!
Many Japanese dont like it, cuz it will cook too much.




Step 3:




When it cooked, put meat on Chi-sha-ba, and roll with it.
Dip into Yakiniku sauce.




Step 4:





Complete!!




Step 5:





Then Eeeeeeeeeeeat!!!!!

British Pub in Nagoya!



We are at British Pub in Nagoya!

But this is Australian beers...

Anyway we'll drink "Abbot" and "Old Speckled Hen" later!!

VB taste like............ hmmmm........

Karhu Bear

北欧の食べ物で、一番、変なのが、世界一、臭度が高いといわれるシュールストレミング(スエーデン、ニシンの塩漬け、醗酵食品)なのですが、今回はフィンランドということで、灰色熊、トナカイ、エルクなどの缶詰、サラミなど、缶がオーロラカラー、熊の方が断然高い値段です。やはりこのての物は”ケモノ臭”が加工あとでも残ってます。最近では、日本でもかなりの種類の肉が手に入る様になってますね。
静岡にはダチョウ牧場などもあり、結構おいしいですが、やはり、”鳥”です。
